This beautiful handmade necklace has been given a wonderful rippled texture using the process of reticulation.
Reticulation is created by heating the Sterling Silver up to almost melting point. There is a moment in time when the surface is molten but the underneath still has structure. You can use the flame to move the surface around to create this unique texture.
Although practice with the flame gives you some amount of control over the finish, a lot of it comes down to chance, and therefore no two will ever be the same!
This necklace has also been oxidised, to darken and enhance the texture.
The Sterling Silver chain (if chosen) is a beautiful 'box style'.
