"Absolutely amazing item, we are both so delighted with it."

- Caroline,

Reading, UK.

Welcome!

Here  at 'Magic in the grass' we first opened our gates in 2009, and the company has grown organically through the years with support from our loyal customers.

My name is Nikki Smith, and I love to make jewellery....

I first began this journey as a hobby, but soon I realised that I had the passion and skills to take it further.  I have always loved to make things, and feel SO lucky to be crafting as my full time career, enabling me to do the job that I love, working from  home, giving me more time to be around my fab family!

Please feel free to contact me regarding custom designs if there is something that you have in mind that you don't see in my shop.   I love a challenge :)

Happy days x

Welcoming the newest addition to the 'Magic' family!

These rings are handmade by me in our home studio in Yorkshire, using molten Sterling Silver! Each one differs to the next, and they can be left silver or oxidised to give a rich dark patina...

If you'd like the chance to have one these made especially for you, please pop over to our facebook page x

Here at 'Magic in the grass' we first opened our gates on 4th October 2009, offering handmade Silver jewellery. At the time I never realised how much joy this business could bring me.

Ever since I was a little girl I loved to make things, and feel so grateful to have managed to make a career out of it!

I made a video to say THANK YOU to everyone who has supported me through this time, to let you know that you are truly appreciated. Please head over to my Facebook page to view it xx

Crafts in the Pen takes place each November at Skipton Auction Mart. The 2 day event has rapidly grown into a wonderful crafts market the whole family can enjoy!

I'm really looking forward to this handmade market, it really does get better every year! I'll be exhibiting my handmade Silver jewellery, and I've got loads of new designs that aren't even in my own shop yet <3

There's lots of beautiful earrings that would make lovely Christmas gifts! (I said it!!! I have been waiting for October to mention the C-word)

Again I'm sharing a pen with Rachel of Hetties who's busy away painting the most adorable peg dolls (I saw a cactus one today, melted my heart).

And of course, I'll be spending anything I make on some of the other handmade goodness that will be on offer around the indoor market :)

This Christmas I will be trying my best to shop local, handmade, and small business. Who's with me??

I love to share with you real life customers with their purchases...especially when they look as smokin’ as Emma!

Emma chose the teeny-tiny super sparkly Cubic Zirconia & Silver studs. These are the perfect earrings to add a little glam to every day...and at only £14, they're really pocket friendly too!

A synthesized material, Cubic Zirconia is optically flawless, and a great and affordable competitor to the diamond. These 3mm chunks are faceted on the top and cut down to a point. In their Sterling Silver claw settings the light is able to enter all the way around. Also available in a more bling 6mm!

Dare I mention these would be great to wear over the Christmas period??

So last week I attended a (really interesting) social media class, and one of the directions I was pointed in was the world of video editing. For anybody that doesn't know me - I am a complete tech dunce, but, well, I'm so pleased that today I gave IMovie a try...it really is quite easy to get a pretty professional looking video!

The short (45 seconds) film shows you a few of the hammers I use to create texture on my 'Beaten Track' range.

As already mentioned, I'm not tech savvy, so I can't work out a way to share it with you here(!), so if you fancy seeing it please head over to my facebook/instagram pages for a watch. Even better, can you please leave me a comment there to let me know you first heard about it here?? That would be AWESOME and I will be eternally grateful to YOU!

This Sterling Silver cuff is suited to both men and women, and all those who like their jewellery chunky and full of personality.
